Cultural Insight |
Eric: Now it's time for a quick cultural insight. |
Hoang Anh: Tôi đi nhé or Tôi đi đây which means “I'm leaving” is a sentence you can use when saying goodbye to someone staying behind. It’s used more commonly than the tạm biệt meaning “goodbye” that we learned before. The people staying behind more often say something like Đi may mắn nhé meaning “Good luck with your trip” or Chúc Anh thượng lộ bình an, meaning “Wish you a safe trip.” |
