Cultural Insight
Eric: Now it's time for a quick cultural insight.
Hoang Anh: The most common way to ask for the bill in Vietnam is Em ơi, tính tiền. Vietnamese people don’t usually use formal language for this. Another interesting phrase is Không cần thối lại đâu. Like Không cần trả lại đâu, which we learned in the lesson, both mean "No need to return the change". Thối or “to return” is southern Vietnamese, but people from the north are starting to use it now too.

Outro

Eric: And that’s all for this lesson. Don’t forget to check out the lesson notes, and we’ll see you in the next lesson!
Hoang Anh: Tạm biệt.
