Hi everyone! I’m Alisha.
Welcome to Conversational Phrases!
We’ve found that the best way to learn a language is to speak it from day one! And the best way to start speaking is to learn phrases that you’ll use in real conversations.
In this lesson, you’ll learn conversational phrases to answer the question, "What are you doing during the holiday?" After watching this video, you’ll be able to talk about your holiday plans.
Now, let’s take a look at some conversational phrases!
Listen to the dialogue.
Tết Nguyên Đán này bạn sẽ làm gì?
Tôi đang định đi biển.
Once more with the English translation.
Tết Nguyên Đán này bạn sẽ làm gì?
“What are you doing for Lunar New Year?”
Tôi đang định đi biển.
“I'm planning to go to the beach.”
First of all you'll need to learn how to say “What are you doing for Lunar New Year?”
That's: Tết Nguyên Đán này bạn sẽ làm gì?
Tet Holiday, the Vietnamese Lunar New Year, marks the new year according to the traditional calendar inherited from China.
Listen to it again: Tết Nguyên Đán này bạn sẽ làm gì?, Tết Nguyên Đán này bạn sẽ làm gì?
