John: This is Must-Know Vietnamese Slang Words and Phrases, Season 1, Lesson 5. In this lesson, you'll learn phrases expressing actions — part 1.
John: These are phrases that describe actions. You will make a huge impression with your language ability if you use them appropriately.
SLANG EXPRESSIONS
John: The expressions you will be learning in this lesson are:
Nguyet: giải quyết nỗi buồn
Nguyet: lượn đi cho nước nó trong
Nguyet: phượt
Nguyet: cho leo cây
John: Nguyet, what's our first expression?
Nguyet: giải quyết nỗi buồn
John: literally meaning "to solve sadness." But when it's used as a slang expression, it means "to pee."

Be careful, people might feel offended if they are not close to you. You can't use it in a formal situation either. This should only be used between people who know each other well.

John: There is no literal translation for this word as it was totally an invented word by people who love to independently travel on a low budget. So, it means "to travel on low cost, or back-packing."
