Hi VietnamesePod101 listeners! Do you know that Vietnam has got so many hotel options for all price ranges? And now that you know Vietnamese you can explore them so easily! What would you say to get a room?

Hi David,

Thank you for your comment. "Check-in" is indeed a very popular word in Vietnam. It's more commonly used in the sense of a well known/ used adopted word from English (similarly to many French words adopted by Vietnamese people in the past), rather than showing off their sophistication. Hope this helps and let us know if you have any further question!

Sincerely,

Khanh

Is Check-in the word regular people use in Vietnamese? Or just educated people who know a lot of English, and like to use English words to show their sophistication? :ฤ
